The Vess A8600 and A8800 combines performance and scalable on premise storage capacity ideal for video surveillance and data-intensive workloads of large enterprises. Throughput performance of 1500 Mbit/s for the Vess A8600 and 1800 Mbit/s for the Vess A8800 supports high-definition video surveillance networks up to 200 to 250 channels. Vess A8600 and A8800 are specially engineered for video recording and Intelligent Video Analytics (IVA) applications. Hardware options include PCI slots suitable for an additional Intel Xeon CPU (dual CPU option); or a GPU card can be used for video analytics or other processor intensive applications.

PROMISE proprietary SmartBoost® technology ensures robust, high-performance storage for video recording without frame drop; it has proven itself in the industry in thousands of large-scale deployments worldwide.

Storage capacity of 64 TB for the Vess A8600 and 96 TB for the Vess A8800 plus huge scale up potential (288 TB / 432 TB) provides flexibility for future growth. Capacity can be seamlessly added to an existing setup as needed using VTrak D5000/E5000/J5000 or Vess R3000/J3000 external storage hardware connected via 12GB/s SAS interface.

Simplified Management and Reduced Complexity

Vess A8600 and A8800 simplifies management of the surveillance network for daily operation. Integration of recorder and storage servers provides a total video surveillance solution combining VMS software and external storage. The legacy of the Vess A Series is fully expressed in the Vess A8600 and A8800 with features integrated into the most popular VMS vendors. The systems are easy to setup, manage and maintain, greatly reducing the burden upon already overloaded IT staff. Once in place, little active management is needed and for many VMS platforms, storage system status is monitored directly the VMS user interface using a special plug-in designed for the particular VMS. Management software supports SNMPv2 as well as SNMP v3 for additional security.

Modular hardware design enables quick replacement in the field for components such as hard drives and power supplies plus One Plug Auto Service (OPAS) for fast diagnosis of any problems by PROMISE tech support staff available 24/7 online or via phone.
